Now the thing is, I can’t really sympathise with Danyel here. Malcom’s being an ass, sure, but Danyel HAS been tormenting him and I wager half the campus for years now. Danyel isn’t suddenly a good guy just because he’s on a date and he wants to be happy.
However, that also doesn’t mean that being malicious to him or his date is okay, and Malcom is clearly being an ass here trying to bring social standing into this and essentially being a bigot. That said, Danyel still shouldn’t be resorting to violence. That’s just a bad way to go all around.
Yeah, if Malcom were only tormenting Danyel, it would probably be deserved. But he’s not. He’s actually only really insulting Sylvia, in a really bigoted way too, and Danyel by association. Danyel shouldn’t have punched him, but I think Malcom is still in the wrong.
Damnit Malcom! If you hadn’t brought status and bigotry into this you could have kept the high ground in this… and you HAD earned you fun on Danyel’s behalf after how he has treated you before (… though you probably did earn a lot of it from just being… you).
Now you have brought in on yourself, and you should probably be thankful it was Danyel who threw the first punch and not Sylvia…
Danyel is a prankster; and while this makes him a pest, he doesn’t actually want to see anybody hurt. Malcom on the other hand is an elitist Jerk who doesn’t care about anyone besides himself and would even likely to enjoy watch someone else get hurt, particularly if it’s someone he doesn’t like or he feels is beneath him. Danyel’s action, although understandable, is wrong; that said, Malcom had it, and likely a lot worse coming.
Well … He earned that.
Yes. Yes, he did.
Good goin!
Defending a lady against a cad. Bonus points for Danyel.
Having to resort to bodily violence, that can lose one points.
Current running tally: still positive for Danyel.

Ahhh, with the look on Mike’s face, I was kinda hoping for some zappo from the backo… Oh well.
I think this is definitely true to Danyel’s character. 😀 Can’t say I blame him, either.

Hmm. I’m just worried about the consequences for Danyel.
