It’s days like this that we need to make an IV drip out of cookies.

Flump. I like that sound, it adds a certain comedic essence that otherwise wouldn’t be there. Flump, flump, flump.

When does Mike finally call it quits?
His (so very) over-read roommate isn’t sure about the answer.

….well, at least he knows when to. (And it’s a pretty decent time, too.)

My first hunch is “blood magic” or rather drawing on his own life force to fuel the spells when the the normal magic “field” is unavailable.

    Just a guess

I think it\\\’s supposedly because he\\\’s a \\\”Triwizard\\\” (if I got the term right,) and that he has an extra source of magic to pull on that most wizards don\\\’t.
He\\\’s also an unschooled enough mage that he still uses emotion to fuel his magic without realizing it sometimes.
Mixing all three together can probably do some amazing things.

The comments from a few pages ago where the suppression stones were first mentioned proposed an idea where his \\\”third source\\\” of magic isn\\\’t specifically blocked by the stones and so can function normally.

My guess is that magic conforms to entropy and a trimagus can pull energy from wherever the “lost” energy ends up when others use magic.
