Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time…

There were no other jobs he could’ve taken? I mean, the dude’s magical. Gotta be some places that could use a bit o’ magic.

      Sorry, clarification here.
I understand a lot of jobs around there would use magic, but he has to take the one that (presumably) doesn’t use magic?

Do you understand how comedy works?

Well, you’ve got sarcasm down, so we can skip that chapter.

Why yes, of course I understand how comedy works. That’s why I was making a comedic comment.

And that’s a good point, Jamin.

Sorry, I guess I didn’t get that you were making a comment in jest. I was worried that you were truly digging for more details, and when someone starts doing that a gag tends to unravel. It’s like the line from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song – “If you’re wondering how they eat and breathe and other science facts… just repeat to yourself ‘It’s just a show, I should really just relax.'” 😉

(Sorry, I meant to post this here.)
Nope, no worries. I mean, in a world of magic, fairies, and butler demons, who am I to question details?

i think it is more that it is safer for him – since being around magic is what got him in this mess — also with his power who knows what will happen while doing the slightest thing outside supervision.

Well, I’m looking at it this way: at least Mike has a job….even if it is to pay off for the magic powder and the crystal ball.
