My guess is that either Mike discovers his power with Kellen and nothing happens, or the fabled wizards court becomes involved, though its still probably too soon for that to happen. What I really think will happen is that Lazlo tried to get himself alone to meet Rayner, like Charlie did in the killjoy strip.
