Bardsworth as a metaphor for the future of anyone in higher education. 🙂

So, wait, is this Fawn saying wise things to Mike through the Spirit Bond, or is this Mike dreaming that Fawn’s saying wise things to him but really it’s Mike’s own subconscious saying wise things and putting them in Fawn’s mouth?

(And that, friends, is why we can all be glad I’m not a practicing psychologist.)

Okay, so, this is a tough question to answer. But I’ll answer to the best of my ability, at least what I suspect the answer to be.
It’s not the real-life Fawn talking to Mike, but it’s not necessarily his own subconscious. I mean, it kind of is. The Fawn shown is the very back of his mind. He can get answers from her because that’s where all the answers and problems are, but the conscious self doesn’t know them. Make sense?

I must confess it will be strange to see Fawn in her usual airborne form after so much time with her at human size. (Or is Mike at fairy size in his dream?)
