Anyone else notice that Francis’ ears are ragged in the same place that Praak’s have earrings? My guess is that the rings are ceremonial jewelry, and that Francis’ rings were ripped out of his ears when he abandoned demon society.
Gah, thank you! When I had originally written Francis’s back story, I had his name as Belkaar, but I went back and changed it to Belraak because I liked the way it sounded better. When I wrote the scripts for this story line I must have still had the original name rattling around in my brain!
Probably just as well to keep its current form “Belraak.” Partly, it seems to fit him better, somehow. And partly, if you called him “Belkaar,” Rich Burlew or his lawyer might have some choice words for you about intellectual property and such. (I have no idea whether he’s the sort of guy who would actually do that, but someone would pick up on the Belkaar/Belkar thing sooner or later.)
Can’t imagine he would (never met him, but he never struck me as that sort of guy). Besides, he wouldn’t have too much legal ground to stand on, considering my character doesn’t resemble his at all and I’ve got an extra “a” in it. Either way, not an issue. 🙂
I’m almost hoping now that Mike gets involved. I’ve no idea why since he’d probably have a seriously tough time with it, and it’d complicate the politics by a lot, but still.

Or adulthood or belonging to a ‘royal’ class.
Good catch! I didn’t notice that one. I hope we find out more soon.
The K and R in Francis’s real name switched places.

It’s okay, and your welcome!

True enough, Pete, true enough. (Of course, you’ll have to put up with smart-aleck fans like me either way….)
Actually, the thing I notice most is that Francis is the taller of the two of them. That’s interesting.

I nominate we let the challenge come to him, and then bring out the bard students hyped up on a triple shot of Jitter Juice. =3
