WHAT HAPPENED?!
Okay, so you may have noticed that the site looks a little… off. I was trying to update WordPress and saw that there was a ComicPress update, so like an idiot I didn’t read the release notes and just updated. Well, it wasn’t technically a ComicPress update, it was trying to upgrade me to Comic Easel, and totally different CMS. So, in trying to turn back the clock and get my old site back, I somehow screwed up one or more of my site files, and when I tried to fix things it made everything worse.
So, long story short, I had to reset EVERYTHING and use what I could from my backup files. Hence, you still have your comic to read, but most of my website is in shambles. And at this point, there’s no sense in trying to recreate it – I’m just going to move on to Comic Easel. But for now, I need to walk away from the whole thing before I have a heart attack.
*hugs you and gives you a cookie*
Oops, sorry, didn’t realize I hadn’t approved your comment. But I always approve of hugs and cookies! 🙂
I had that happen with some of the comics I host. It’s a pain, for sure.
Ah, man. 🙁 I’m sorry.
If it’s the Comic Easel I just looked up, it seems odd that it (or anything in WordPress) would try to get you into a different CMS, since it’s a WordPress plugin.
In any case though, I wish you luck sorting things out. And, I don’t have any experience with ComicPress or Comic Easel, but I have worked with WordPress a bit, so I’d be happy to be at least one reference you can use as you work things out.
@Novalyyn ComicPress was created originally around 8 years ago, it was way outdated and eventually just stopped production on. Comic Easel was it’s replacement, which is a plugin – in the end I turned ComicPress into a theme *(for)* Comic Easel instead of just letting it .. die peacefully ;/
Ah! Okay. I didn’t know it had changed. ^^;
